Last Evening of Term, Investitures and Party

Date: 1st Dec 2018 Author: Tony Reissner

We have just been informed that, due to essential works, the Synagogue Hall will not be accessible from the week commencing 10th December. Therefore, the Last evening of term for all sections will be next Tuesday 4th December.

The plan, if you can, is to join the communities at 6pm outside the library in Radlett for the lighting of the Hanukah Menorah and Doughnuts. We will then return to the back hall for 6:30pm. Parents and siblings are invited to join us. We will aim to keep to the agenda below:

6:00 Menorah lighting
6:30 Assemble in back hall
6:35 Beaver investitures and awards (Beaver’s will move on to their activity)
6:45 Cub investitures and awards
6:55 Scout investitures and awards
7:05 Leader investitures and awards
7:15 Hanukah party (games, more, doughnuts, chocolate and squash)
8:15 Close

If you have one, please give your Beaver/Cub/Scout a dreidel to bring with. We realise the timings vary from the usual and understand that some people may be later, and some may leave earlier which quite alright.

If your son/daughter is being invested, please ensure they know their Promise by heart and have the correct uniform; we will provide the scarf and badges.

Beavers and Cubs will be restarting on Tuesday 15th January and Scouts on Wednesday 16th January.

All the leaders join me in wishing everyone an enjoyable break and a happy new year!

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
